Jim & Donna Snorek

Features: Now 11 years old, the KTE RR has almost 2000' of nickel/silver track, a water feature including a waterfall, 2 streams and a pond and a 11’ suspension bridge over the pond.

Last fall, major construction crews added 12 stub sidings for a total of 19 stubs, 3 long passing sidings, and a double reverse “Y”. The 2 existing yards have a total of 7 sidings.

The layout runs on Massoth digital control for individual train operation. LED signals are using the LGB EPL block system.

We have a main loop around the layout that is about 100’ square. Inside the main line are a mountain line with 2 tunnels and a trestle bridge, a line that runs along the main river, and a small logging line on the top of a mountain.

All lines are interconnected for switching purposes. At the end of a day, the trains can be driven directly into a yard inside the garage.

There is also a trolley loop that runs 4 trolleys automatically. If all goes well (as it always does at an open house), 9-10 trains/trolleys can be operating.

Hope to see you here.
