Rustemeyer Family

Our railroad is named for the community in which we live, Norwood Park, which recently restored its historic train station that was built in 1907 and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Almost all the grass is gone from our city lot. The train, a 50 by 22 foot layout, takes up most of the yard. The layout also can overlap into our garage. The layout has extensive lighting and is beautiful at night so we can run even after the sun goes down.

There are a variety of plants from miniature to regular size annuals and perennials. We can run up to seven trains at once in our yard. As you look over the layout you will hear the sounds and chatter of the engines and see many villages. This Norwood Junction 5R Railroad is a family affair with sons Don and Bob and daughter, Judy, all contributing.
