Bob & Terry Derenski

The Jealousy and Endeavor Railroad was so named because of Bob's notion that Terry was Jealous of his old American Flyer trains which were kept in many closets throughout the house and the Endeavor that it took to build this garden railroad.

The late 1800's railroad layout was originally built in 1993-1995 with a small pre-formed pond liner holding 125 gallons. In 2003 the pond was enlarged to hold about 1200 gallons which facilitated the rebuilding of the railroad with a total of about 300 feet of track. It was completed in late 2004.

The main feature is the dry-stacked waterfall and babbling brook lined with hand-laid, dry-stacked stone that runs 20 feet to meet the pond where koi and goldfish reside. The railroad is run with a remote control unit by AristoCraft. A Total of two trains can run on the single line at a time.

The point-to-point, to and from Pyrite, and the saw mill is on a separate controller located in the house. On the outskirts of Jealousy is the southwester-design Coyote Creek Winery which produce both Wylie white and Road Runner red wine.
